Hello—
I know this is a 2019 forum but I hope it ok for a 2020 owner to join. Our dealer and other sources told us the 2020 was basically unchanged from the 2019. It will be interesting to see if that is correct.

We bought our Touring model in August. Really like it so far and have put over 4000 miles on it so far. Is it perfect? No, but in general we are really pleased. We are still breaking in the seats and hope they get more comfy for my skinny butt soon. I found this forum while searching the internet for info on the shaking front hood. It’s still there on the 2020!

Thanks to the host(s) for starting and maintaining the forum!

The 2020 Insight is still part of the 3rd gen Insight. We're probably 4 more model years away from the 4th gen Insight if Honda does decide to offer one. Nothing changed from 2019 vs 2020 besides the white color option.

I don't notice the hood shaking on mine but I think it has to do with how they designed the hood to pop up if a pedestrian was hit.
When a collision with a pedestrian is detected, the rear part of the hood is lifted to reduce the impact on the pedestrian's head - Honda

Welcome to the forum! The topics covered here are for the Gen3 Insight, which definitely includes your 2020 model year. Most of us are 2019 owners because we bought in 2018/2019 when the car came out (Jun 2018). The 2020s have been slower to appear as dealers clear out 2019 inventory first.

As you mentioned, the 2020 is pretty much unchanged from the 2019, but there is a 2020-specific Owners Manual that you can download (or order hard copy) from Honda: https://www.gen3insight.com/forum/7-2019-honda-insight-general-discussion/2996-2020-manuals-available-download.html

We haven't detected any differences between the 2019 and 2020 models so far, but would love to hear if you notice something new or different in this thread: https://www.gen3insight.com/forum/97-2019-insight-news/2740-2020-honda-insight-arriving-dealerships-tomorrow-7-16-2019-a-5.html

And lastly, in case you didn't find them, a few threads on the topic of 'hood flutter.'

Wow! I did not know that the Insight has that hood-popping pedestrian safety feature! I remembered seeing it on the LC 500 due to its small gap between the hood and engine.
