Though I haven't driven my 2019 LX across country, I did from Denver to Grand Junction over Vail Pass, etc through the mountains and my mileage took a bit of a hit, to the mid 40's.
I was driving through wet and icy roads in the mountains, but it was dry elsewhere, and never did I feel the need for more horses. Passed with ease when I needed to go around slower
vehicles, and never held anyone behind me up. Just my .02.

It certainly can do it, but I bet it was revving harder than it would have at lower altitudes in order to make sufficient power. A turbo would help in that regard, just to bring it closer to advertised performance ratings. Not that I actually expect it to ever happen.
