I find it so much easier lately to use the phone through the voice command button rather than dialing manually on the phone screen on my Touring. It really makes driving so much safer by not taking my eyes off the road.

What other neat uses have you found when using the VOICE commands?

The manual suggests that only Phone commands, Audio Commands, and Navigation Commands are available. Are there other uses that people have found? Older (2016) Accords had Climate Control Commands as well, but I don't think that carried over to the Insight.

Had a strange experience for the first time yesterday. Went to make a phone call, pressed Voice button, brought up the right screen, but did not seem to hear my voice. Went to FM, screen came up but could not get any stations to play. Went to USB screen where I have songs stored. Brought up song info but would not play. Other functions like Clock, PowerFlow were fine. I pulled over, turned off ignition, back on, no change. Later I tried again, left ignition off longer for a full reset, then it worked fine. Anyone else experience this or have any clue what the problem might be? Once in two months is not a big deal, but a surprise.

Sounds to me like a software related problem that needs to be patched. Issues like these are the most commonplace with new cars, since they are so tech driven. At least a reset seems like a remedy in the interim.

The tablet screen probably needs a reboot. That tablet is always on even when the car is off. I see it communicating with my router usually during midnight sending/receiving data.

The instructions in the video indeed work with the Insight. I went from 768 hours uptime back to zero after the reboot. All settings, etc were retained.

thanks for the thoughts, strange no one else has experienced this. the Accord shifter is sufficiently different I wonder if the technique will work on Insight, but will try if this happens again.
I think it should be easier to make the shifts with the push button gear selector on the Insight, so I'd expect it to work on the first try (vs 3 attempts in video with traditional gear selector).
