Just wanted to get a sense of what phone everyone is using and confirm that its supported by Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the new Insight. Haven't been able to find a list of compatible devices from any official Honda sources.

If anyone out there is wondering, you could always try to pair your phone in one of the test Insights at the dealer. Just make sure you're as up-to-date on system upgrades as possible for your phone. That may matter more. Remove the phone from the Display Audio's memory once you're satisfied that it works.

For the record, I'm using an iPhone X, last year's model, with iOS 12. It works, unsurprisingly.

Samsung Galaxy S7. Works great but response time is slow. The is in no way the fault of the car. My phone has always been slow as ****. The Insight is awesome.

I found this page for Honda HandsFreeLink (bluetooth) compatibility useful, though it doesn't yet list Android Auto or Apple CarPlay info for the Insight: Honda HandsFreeLink | Bluetooth Connectivity for Honda Cars

For a list of bluetooth features by phone, click on "Find a Phone" at the top menu and enter vehicle info and phone info. On the next page, click on the hyperlink next to the phone image to see a list of available features. The site also provides instruction for connecting your phone, though this setup info is also in the owners manual (pp 395-396).

In the event of a traffic collision, if your airbags are deployed, HondaLink assist will automatically call an operator. The operator will have access to your Honda’s location, and will attempt to contact you. If you are unable to talk, the operator will call emergency services, and send them to your location.

I'm not sure about the LX but EX/Touring Insights are equipped with Hondalink Assist.

Yeah I don’t think LX has HondaLink.. so I basically get something similar in my phone. For those with an EX/Touring and a new iPhone 14 or new Apple Watch, you get multiple emergency alerts.

don't you have to subscribe to HondaLink to get this service?
Honda does a bad job naming some of their features. Hondalink Assist is different from the Hondalink subscription service. Assist is a free feature that triggers a call to 911 when airbags deploy in a crash. You should get a prompt to enable Hondalink Assist when you pair a phone to bluetooth or CarPlay/Android Auto for the first time.

Touring owners have the option of the subscription service. It works a little different by having an operator call you and staying on the line with you until emergency service arrives. It also use the vehicle's cell service instead of your phone.
