I was wondering if any of you has any access to high resolution Insight photos where we can use them as our wallpapers? I've been searching it online for awhile but no luck, thought it'd be worth a shot to ask it here!

Wallpaper for clock, anyone successful creating one?

I have tried to create a wallpaper for my clock using the parameters outlined on page 269 on the owners manual. My image is a photo slightly smaller than 1920x936 pixels in JPEG format, less than 2MB in size. The car cannot find the file which is on the root directory of my USB drive. Anyone have any luck creating a wallpaper?

Dimensions must be EXACT or it won't be listed as an available file for upload.

The manual lists a range of acceptable image dimensions, with max size of 1920 x 936 pixels (min size of 480 x 234 pixels) so exactness may not be the issue. The other criteria you listed meet the other listed parameters (file size, jpg, root directory).

Maybe check the following (not in particular order):
- file name <64 characters?
- try plugging into the other USB port?
- leave USB plugged in for extended time to see if file eventually comes up?
- see if system will recognize the flash drive with other files on it (e.g. mp3)?
- reformat flash drive or try a different flash drive brand?
- see if bmp format works instead?

I stand corrected in the image size. I tried different sizes. As long as it's the same or less than the maximum, it will work.

The issue I had when I initially tried was that my flash drive was not formatted FAT32. Once formatted properly, everything worked. Meet all the other criteria, and you should be fine. The only thing I would question would be having funky characters in the file name (spaces are okay).

I'm attaching a file I made used to test the clock wallpaper. It works successfully in my Insight.

After I posted this message this morning, jumped in the car...it finally recognized the file! Murphy's law.
