departure warning on hills

1126 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Daryl227
I had my 19 insight ex for 3 weeks or so and i noticed on hilly back roads when going up a hill and reach the top my lane departure warning goes off even tho I am no where near the lines. Doesn’t do it all the time. But enough for me to start to notice it more often. Is that something I need to be Concerned about and is it happening to anyone else?

Hills are a 'normal' cited limitation of Honda Sensing, due to the detection/reflection angle back to the camera when on a hill. The issue might be more amplified now with more sunshine/contrast in summer months. LKAS and RDM rely on the camera, rather than the radar as summarized here.

The lane departure sensitivity setting can be changed in the center console "settings" app.
