I eventually got up the courage to commit to the Aegean Blue and picked up my bright blue EX on Thursday! The color does take a little adjustment but I like the black cloth so much better that I think it was worth it, and it really is very pretty on this car. Also, it's the only model like it in San Diego County at the moment so driving around something unique is pretty cool! Loving it so far!

Anyway, just as I was about to drive away from the dealership I noticed this: (see attachment)

I think it's kind of funny - an alternate spelling for the name! But I am having the dealer get me an "I."
I thought it would be fun to start a thread to see what other weird little issues people have found.

Did the "I" fall off during delivery? What was the explanation?

The only strange this about my EX is that the passenger seat is a couple of inches lower than driver's seat. My wife doesn't like that.

Is this an oddity or quirk? I’m not able to pair Bluetooth audio. It will only pair the phone.
Neither oddity nor quirk, it's a bug! I am having trouble with my Moto G5s+ phone. I pair with both phone and audio profiles. On my commute I can maintain a phone call for 30 minutes, but BT audio drops out at least 6 times in 30 minutes (then comes back within 15 seconds). This could be a phone problem and not a HondaLink problem. I did not use BT in my previous car, used headphone/AUX connection.

A few times in the past month I have had trouble where my phone does not connect and I have had to re-pair and Honda asks me to select the channels to pair (both phone and audio) and then I save the selection and it immediately fails to connect and I go back to connection settings and it has forgotten. Do this about 3 to 5 times in rapid succession and finally it saves the settings and connects. Really annoying. I find it hard to believe that the HondaLink system is buggy, after all it's been deployed in Civic and Accord for more than a year.

I've found that, if you plug the phone in and enable AA, the audio portion of bluetooth is disabled. Check without plugging into USB and see if you can enable it.

Great idea for a thread!

Your experience should down in the annals of car bloopers!

Maybe they thought you were a member of that boys' band, 'N Sync!

Yeah, I've got to say, there's a bug in this area - my phone has been paired with car. If I am NOT connected with AA (and usually I am not), then if I try to use Google Assistant to send a text message, the audio is prompts are blocked if I am NOT currently using Bluetooth Audio connection. That is, I say "send text message to Joe" - then I do not hear the response. Then I speak the message and when Google would normally repeat message back to me and ask "do you want to send it or cancel?", I hear NOTHING. But it is working. I also will not hear Google Map driving directions!

If I am using BT Audio, then I do hear the prompts. If I turn off the audio system, I still will not hear the prompts. Very annoying.

I really dislike when the console reboots as I'm driving. It's happened at least once each week that I've had the car. Cuts off the music, maps stop displaying...

Also, the floor model EX at one of the dealers I looked at threw a brake warning when I was playing with the stereo! I told the salesperson, who looked perturbed.

Be advised, when you get the backup camera recall done, you stand a good change of losing your audio config (I did - presets, clock backgrounds, mileage history, etc). The upside is that it will likely fix any annoying reboot bugs you have since the firmware is being upgraded.
