Would be interesting if Honda (or any other major auto manufacturer) would adopt this. They would just have to create the hardware, which would seem easier to make than the software.
For me, I’d rather see Honda create their own full Autopilot software to compete with Tesla (they are partly there with Honda Sensing). But at least manufacturers can use the technology to help them create their own self driving software (which kinda sucks for me as a rideshare driver fearing a robotaxi takeover).
I’m really eager to see the Full Self Driving software released as Musk has said its “near” completion. I’ll have to test drive a Tesla afterwards as I have never test driven one (only sat in them at one of those mall stores).
