Hi everyone. I just traded in my 2015 blue Civic EX for a 2019 White Orchid Pearl Insight EX black interior and I gotta say I love this car. I still have a lot to learn about her but had to sign up here and will definitely keep checking out these forums.

I’m usually not one to reply to my own post but on my first drive to work which takes 30 minutes and is about 65% interstate driving I got 54.4MPG!😳😁👍🏻👍🏻
Love. This. Car!

Did you by any chance test drive the new Accord?

Being a person that came from a Civic it would be interesting to get your take on the Insight from that perspective.
some people I know suggest it feels like vehicle it's loosely based on, the Accord :D

Yeah I test drove both the Accord Hybrid and an Accord Sport 1.5. I loved them both. The sport was so much fun to drive but I know I would get a speeding ticket or two lol.

Ultimately I went with the Insight (the baby that Accord and Civic had together, lol) because I had been following the third gen since the prototype and wanted it then. And partly because the accord would have required me to reconfigure my garage a bit to keep it in there.

I like how the steering wheel is just like the accord and the infotainment system is lower and doesn’t stick out so much like the accord. I like the insights civic style arm rest and cup holders as opposed to the accord and while it’s nice to store your phone hidden and charged in the accord I would forget it half the time. I like how I got to keep the lane watch even though it’s not true blind spot monitoring it definitely helps. If I didn’t get the Insight I would have probably bought the Accord EX to keep similar features since I couldn’t find a civic hatchback EX with sensing (my third choice) anywhere.

Hope this helps. I am definitely loving this car and it’s fuel efficiency.

I originally set out to get the Accord, but the Insight won me over. The Insight has a lot of Accord DNA, as the instrument panel, display audio, and steering wheel are straight out of the Accord. I don't regret going with the Insight.
