I would definitely do a plant tour of the Indiana plant, but they're not doing them at the present time.

I wonder what the Indiana plant is hiding...

Due to production confidentiality, the Honda Manufacturing of Indiana tour program is currently closed.

If/when Honda resumes plant tours in Marysville, Ohio, some info on what's included. (Reservations are required):
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Children must be in 7th grade or higher to participate.
  • Comfortable walking shoes must cover the foot and heel. Sandals, open-toe or open-back shoes are prohibited.
  • Skirt/shorts must be knee length or longer for plant tour.
  • Government-issued photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.) required for check-in upon arrival..

  • DETAILS:
  • Heritage Center and Plant Tour are free of charge.
  • Approximate duration = 2.5 hours
  • Includes both Heritage Center museum and Auto Plant tour of either the Marysville Auto plant or the East Liberty Auto Plant. (Seems like it's at Honda's choice/discretion for the day.)
  • Guests visit the museum first, then drive to the auto plant in their personal vehicle.
  • The Auto Plant tour includes a fast-paced, one-hour walking tour (approx. 1.5 miles) and may include stairs.
  • Honda reserves the right to suspend Auto Plant tours based on the plant’s production activity.

Some interesting factoid nuggets listed on the Honda Alabama Plant Tour (Lincoln, AL) are below. Reservations are required if/when Honda resumes tours, post-covid - Welcome to Honda Manufacturing of Alabama:
  • Cars are dusted using female ostrich feathers before painting, to remove dust and debris. The ostrich feathers are preferred for their 'natural microscopic hooks.'
  • Associates wear bulletproof kevlar gloves to protect hands and arms from raw steel and hard surfaces.
  • The assembly line would stretch 1.25 miles if laid out in a straight line.
  • The plant covers 3.7 million square feet - equivalent to 65 football fields or 20 WalMart Supercenters.
