I purchased a K&N in May as of yesterday my avg mpg has dropped to 45 mpg has anyone else had that issue? I could not get any suggestions from Honda or K&N accept give it 1000mi to learn. I gather that the computer does not know what to do with the extra air flow, and it might be learning over time. The new fuel
Efficient vehicle don’t respond to high performance parts. Here is an image of a quick experiment I did yesterday to see if the filter impacted my mpg.

What did you get for mpg before the new air filter? K&N filters increase engine performance by allowing your engine to get more air but it does this at the cost of filtering contaminants. Maybe contaminants got into the engine and now it's working harder resulting in lower mpg. That's just a guess on my part.

Here's a youtube video showing how effective the filtering is for K&N vs other aftermarket brands.
