I got my new license plates and upon installing them, I noticed that my radar did not look correct. It took a while to figure out that the cover was missing from my car. My dealer is ordering a new cover and I have an installation scheduled.

Any idea if it was this way from factory or if it somehow fell off during your ownership? I wouldn't imagine moisture getting in there to be good.

I'm fairly certain it was factory. I remember looking over the car and noting where the radar was. I was obvious to me. If the cover had been in place, I would not have been able to distinguish one side from the other.

That's the forward radar. You are indeed missing the cover. See the dealer for replacement under warranty. You're not the first on this forum to report a missing cover.

The plastic cover is definitely missing from your radar... Honda/dealer owes you one! The part number for the cover is 36809-TXM-A02, and it sells for <$3.

Functionally, the cover seems to frame/finish the area and prevent dust/dirt accumulation. Your radar should still function, but might be more susceptible to build-up in surrounding areas. If the radar stops functioning, you'll see a message in the DII that indicates problem.

Do you recall taking delivery this way, or did it fall off sometime after ownership?

Glue might help temporarily, but I think the plastic clips/attachment points are the fatal design flaw for this cover. Finding a way to beef up the clips would be more effective. - Front Bumper millimeter radar missing clips

Thanks guys, you have been more than helpful on this. I'm having the Dealer order me a new one and ship it to me so I can install it. They had replaced the Positive Jump Box that had a broken part for the lid to snap on to. That was a night mare as they had to rip the Insight apart to replace the entire Harness. This included many areas of the Car plus both front and rear Bumpers. My guess they could have lost it during that process, but who knows. I'm definitely going to figure out a way to get the Cover on and more secure than Factory. That Jump Box is a horrible design.
