Are there checks and/or posting limits that can be put in place for new users?

That the forum allows new/same-day users (292p7g in particular) to make 180+ posts in single a day leaves the forum wide-open to continued posting spam.

Gotta say that I'm not really interested in sifting through 180+ marketing posts for korean gambling sites on a G3 Insight forum...

Pleeeeaaase make it stop! 400+ korean spam posts from a new, unvalidated user in <24 hours is insane!

I ended up reporting it using that ! link in the bottom left column. Not sure if thats what did it, but thankfully they’re gone now.

I have enabled some feature in the spam management plugin in the backend.
Let us know if spam is still coming into the forum.

So far so good with the backend modification, including clean-up of the hundreds of spam posts. Thanks for the quick assist!!
