The "Origin" was unveiled today, as a new self-driving vehicle developed by GM/Honda partnership. It's a 6-seater electric vehicle with sliding doors and no interface components (i.e. no steering wheel, brake, throttle, wipers, rear view mirror).

The car isn't available for sale, but can be ridden thru 'Cruise' rideshare. GM owns manufacturing the Origin, Honda owns the engineering design, and Cruise owns the self-driving software. Production timing is TBD, and exemption approval from NHTSA is needed for the self-driving aspects.
