Along with Honda's August 2020 announcement that HondaLink and AcuraLink users can opt in to share telematic driving data with Verisk and enable potential insurance discounts, similar announcements were made by data competitors:
- CCC's X-data exchange is paired up with Volkswagen's Car-Net and DriveView programs.
- LexisNexis OnDemand will review past data from already connected GM, Nissan and Mitsubishi cars, and is also paired with insurance start-up company "Root."
- Metromile and State Farm announced it would have direct data access from Ford/Lincoln under new partnerships.
