I received this recall two days ago on my Honda Link App. Anyone else get it? I thought I might be able to update it myself through wifi.....but no luck.. I guess the dealer will look after it when I go in for an oil change. So far no issues for me at 4700 kms.

I haven't received it and I'm curious what it's about. Were there any details provide? Could you provide a screenshot of the recall? Thanks.
My app and online does not say anything about a recall with my VIN. My dealer just called and left a voicemail about this. Said it takes 40 minutes to update.

I don’t have any issues but now I’ll have to call back and setup an appointment.
Had my car in last week to address some small complaints. They told me they fixed the rear camera recall item. They could not help me with any of my problems.
Safety Recall (already!)

Hi all:

In the HondaLink settings, I discovered an option where it calls Honda -- and a recording matches your VIN Number to issues and recalls with the vehicle.

And lo and behold... there *is* a "safety recall" related to my VIN. When I called Honda they said it's a recall of several issues with the NAV / Camera / Display and they gave me several issues that might or might not affect my 2019 Touring model.

When I called the dealer they said a 'safety recall' is not an urgent situation and the next time I am in for service to have it checked. (That might be a while.)

Guess I should expect this in a new model?
It’s interesting that I have pretty much the same exact insight as you, white Touring, and mine doesn’t have that recall yet. I wonder what the difference is?
I have a white EX and got a call for the recall from my dealer but didn’t get it in the app. I did call the number from HondaLink app and they said my VIN was part of the recall.

I’m sitting in the service room waiting for them to finish and the owners site still says no recalls for my VIN. I wasn’t having any issues previously so I hope this update doesn’t create any issues.
Just finished mine about 15 minutes ago. So much for a 40 minute job. lol.

Long story short is I lost my home screen layout, WiFi/Bluetooth connections, and all of my SiriusXM favorites and settings. I had to check other system/car settings to ensure my preferences were saved. The first text and call that came in were super loud so I had to adjust the sound settings as well.

I wish that could have been backed up somehow before the upgrade then restored. Perhaps I missed that part of the manual, oh well.

Edited: oh and the worst part is I lost my history of trip B I was keeping all my tank fill ups! I had A reset on each fill and B to never reset to see my last 3 fill ups and their MPG for the tank. Thankfully I have a Fuelly account.

Plugged in my VIN, and my Insight Touring is not part of the recall. I took delivery of the car last week; not sure how whether there's a manufacturing date I could look up.

If you just got the car last week I would think your dealer already updated it if it needed it.
Hopefully that's true, but the NHTSA site wouldn't know whether the firmware update had been applied. Would it?

Good point. I use the Honda Owners site. Recall Information for Safety & Defects | Honda Owners Site
Had my recall completed. I can not tell any difference in the camera. The recall did wipe out my Navigation system settings, Wifi connection to my home network and bluetooth. My Home Address was lost and I had to re-pair my phone. My very first boot up, I clicked the screen to proceed and then clicked the nav system where it hung at the Garmin logo. I could do nothing after that until I turned the car off and on. I could not reproduce the problem. I noticed no other side affects.
The recall wiped my radio presets, bluetooth pairing, mileage history, etc. I was able to get a copy of the TSB, and is states the tech was supposed to note my configuration and set it back. That said, you still need to repair your phone and suck it up with respect to your lost mileage history.
Got my recall in the mail over the weekend. Going to wait until it's time to get it serviced.
Got my recall done today and was expecting to have to reset things, but other than phone pairing everything was just the way I left it. It did take longer than I expected, but I bet that had to do with restoring my settings.
I went to the HONDA recall site, entered my VIN and was told no recall for my car. It was built 08/18.
