Here are some highlights summarizing NHTSA Campaign #18V629000 for the Rearview Image Display Failure:
- # of Affected Insights - 6255 vehicles
- Insight Prod'n Dates - 10/24/17 to 8/22/18
- Potential Insight VIN's - 19XZE4F90KE000001 to 19XZE4F70KE400008 (not sequential)

Defect Description - Due to inappropriate software programming, the center display assembly that normally displays the rearview image may not provide the rearview image during backing events following certain usage scenarios.

Safety Risk - The failure to display the rearview image creates a noncompliance with the requirements of FMVSS 111, rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Vehicles built after 8/22/18 and programmed with inappropriate software were placed on hold until the updated software was applied.

Both the 2018 Accord (225,885 units) and 2019 Insight (6255 units) were affected, totaling 232,140 vehicles. As of 1/13/20:
- Corrective actions have been made on 213,144 vehicles (91.8%)
- 1338 vehicles (0.6%) were 'unreachable' or removed from service
- 7.6% of notified owners have not yet completed the recall
