Hey everyone,

I got my car a few weeks ago and hit my first 1000 miles and Love it. Its an Aegean Blue EX and love the color, I suggest anyone to get that color lol.

I already started buying accessories and modding the car a little bit just for aesthetics. The center cloth arm rest had to go and I bought the leather black touring ones and installed it already. I was also looking at the black sport grille but its different from the 18' Accord version so not sure if I can install myself or would have to go to dealer or something. averaging about 44mpg in the first 1000 miles and hope to get better later once its not as hot and break in period is over.

I changed the EX cloth center arm rest to Leather from the Touring model a few days ago and really brings the whole car together now. The cloth really is scratchy and felt out of place. Then I added Ceramic tints on the whole car, even the windshield as Florida sun is strong.
Stratos 70 Windshield
Pinnacle 30 front windows
Pinnacle 15 rear and back window
Highly recommend getting ceramic tints.

Now looking at the sport black grille add on just want to see how to install it first before I buy it.

Also want to add a leather steering wheel cover but not sure which will fit and will prefer one that fully wraps over current wheel.

Hey Data14! I also have an Aegean Blue EX! I am very interested in what you did to the armrest. I love the black interior compared with the ivory but I am annoyed by the fabric on the armrest getting dirty already and was thinking about Scotch-Guarding it. Can you give me an idea of which parts you needed to change to leather, the approximate cost, and how easy it was? Thanks

I just posted some questions to you about this on your intro thread. Should have posted it here, I guess.
Yea that arm rest is terrible as is, but all I did was buy the parts from the touring model and it took me about 10 minutes to change them out.

I bought them from here. will be like 80-90 bucks and entirely worth every penny.

Parts are 19/20/23 that you need to buy and just make sure you get the black one. Its in the description, all you do is pull off the 2 side pieces.

It will feel like you can't take it off but just pull it off from the middle, don't be afraid it wont break and just pop in the new one.

Then for the middle slide part, open it and then pull it out. You will see 2 screws, take those out and then pull it off same as the side pieces. Then pop in the new one, you will also have to pull off the new one as they send it with the hinge.

** you really dont need to switch the whole hinge**

Since I have the EX, I do wanna replaced the armrest to leather ones but from the links provided in the older post, the collegehill and hondapartsnetwork links are no longer valid. Has anyone else been successful in finding replacement ivory armrest for touring?
Are you looking for Ivory leather or Black leather? Looks like the part number fits both the 2019 Civic and the 2019 Insight.
- Black leather = 08U89-TXM-110
- Ivory leather = 08U89-TXM-120

This is the page for the part(s) on College Hills Honda site.

There are also "pseudo replacement" options on eBay, which involve pleather covers and double-sided tape. The finished product doesn't look too bad, so it just depends on what you prefer.

The CH armrest is the one with the illumination kit. Wondering if anyone sells the plain one for ivory interior.

The illumination and armrest are sold separately. On the link page, you'll notice "related products" listed on the right side, with separate prices for illumination kits that is over/above the armrest. The armrest part numbers listed in prior post are same ones used for prior replacements listed in the forum.

I thought the CH site said the illumination kit was required per the description:

"The armrest provides comfort for both the driver and passenger while adding a stylish flare to the interior. Requires Armrest Illumination Kit (sold separately)."

This is the thread where there was discussion of armrest replacement: https://www.gen3insight.com/forum/2...check-area/140-new-insight-owner.html#post712

Given that the prior links are dead due to site upgrades, would be great if @Data14 and @pflinker could comment further on the "individual pieces" and part numbers they purchased for their replacements.

Hello, answering your beckons! I see you are looking for the White leather interior... Well, I did the black so I can not say anything about that.
As for the parts I got: 83416-TXM-A11ZA and also 83411-TXM-A11ZA. Those were the numbers I got for it, can't really tell as I've thrown away the boxes and my old email does not tell me which is which.
Hope this helps

Thank you Data14! So I guess all the parts from collegehillhonda moved to www.collegehillshondaparts.com. I was able to locate this page https://www.collegehillshondaparts....ht--tourin--variable/interior-bumper--console but its so hard to browse without any pictures. I'm guessing if I also wanted the center part of the armrest it'd be part# 83441-TXM-A01ZA?

Upgraded the center arm rest for the optional one with the light kit, the install was a pain in the ass.
Cool I had considered this item but it was very pricey and I wasn't about to try to install it. Is it comfortable? Does it work a lot like the original? How is the lighting on it?

The lighting kit is just ok, I didn’t want it but there is no optional not to install it
Are you implying that the arm rest CANNOT be installed WITHOUT attaching the lighting kit simply because the wires would get in the way? If so I'm then assuming the wires are all straight wires with NO connectors?
