It depends on if we have the hardware for Honda to support the feature. I think the Insight does have the hardware mainly because the infotainment system has good enough wifi to support hotspot. This should apply to the EX trim, too. I have found signs of hotspot capability on my EX but it doesn't work due to lack of AT&T app from the Touring.

The main sticking point I had with getting my Android phone from working with my pioneer head unit wirelessly was the fact I didn't have Android 9.0 at the time. I'd be surprised if the head unit on our insights which sport Android 6 would have all the features built in to support Android auto wirelessly without an update to the head unit's Android operating system.
