Interesting...Do you think it is based off of speed, or do you think they considered terrain? As an interesting aside the GPS in the touring has a setting for best fuel usage as an option on your destination settings. Probably not as precise but it might be a first step.
If I was a smart guy I think they probably use both bits of info. I haven't tried using it though since I basically don't go anywhere except to work and back. Big blue is better for chore driving on my days off since it's a plug in and I can do everything on battery mode. It also heats without using the engine.Interesting...Do you think it is based off of speed, or do you think they considered terrain? As an interesting aside the GPS in the touring has a setting for best fuel usage as an option on your destination settings. Have you tried setting eco routes on the in dash nav? Wondering how well it works. I rarely use the gps since I rarely go anywhere I don't know about, so I haven't tried it myself. So I was using my in-car built-in NAV on my TOURING trim. I've used my Android cell phone Car Play NAV on my past 2 vehicles.
Do you guys find the Android Car Play NAV much easier/user friendly to use?
ie... Voice command on the Android Car Play NAV.,
Also if there is a slow down ahead, the Android NAV would tell you if it's a 5min, 10min, 20min slow down up ahead and marks the road "red" in color...
These are some of the things ive seen using the in-car NAV yesterday on my TOURING trim.
There's a calculation option called "Less Fuel" when setting route preference, attached. You can download a soft copy of the Navigation Manual from this site, if you don't already have one: https://owners.honda.com/vehicles/information/2019/Insight/manualsWhat is "eco routes"?....it seems the in dash NAV on my TOURING is not as precise as Android Auto on my cell phone
