Interesting that the cars from the top 3 most reliable brands did not rank any of top 10 most reliable cars. Makes me wonder how they did the ranking.

Interesting that the cars from the top 3 most reliable brands did not rank any of top 10 most reliable cars. Makes me wonder how they did the ranking.

They mention they scored how many vehicles had a check engine light and how much it cost to fix.
The 10 most reliable vehicles were the lowest % failures across all manufacturers and all vehicle classes.
The most reliable brands would average the failure rate for all models they make.
For example Toyota had high scoring trucks and vans, and that contributes to their overall rating.
So even though Honda cleaned up on cars, obviously some of their other models didn’t do as well
