Share what you did today with the 2019 Honda Insight community!

Example: Cleaned and re-arranged the garage to make space for the Inight. My wife's Accord will be evicted effective after 12pm today

Example: Finally got my window tints done, now I can't open my windows for a week.

Example: Gave it a wash and applied wax for paint protection.

Anything goes!

Found screw in my driver rear tire. Since there is no spare/jack etc. I have to get my car towed to a local Honda dealer. It's a good thing that I just got home from work and have the rest of my day free.

did the dealer replace the tire or patch it? free of charge?
No, they charged me to plug the tire.
When I traded in my 2018 HRV I removed the seat covers I had put on to keep the original seats looking good. Tried to put those seat covers on the insight. I was surprised they fit the Insight fine except the head rest covers are a little big. Just put an old t shirt in each headrest cover and they fit OK now. I added HUSKY floor liner and trunk liner that fit great. Put stick on blind spot mirrors on side mirrors that work well.
That is the reason I just bought a spare tire and jack. I wouldn't hit the interstate without it.

Where did you get your spare and jack from, and for how much? I want to get those for my Insight but don't want to pay full price for them. I know you can get a spare tire and jack for a 2016-2019 Civic and it would work, but none of my body shops in the area have them or they are asking too much for them.

FRR posted in one of the 'spare tire' threads that he was able to purchase the Civic spare from a salvage yard for $85, which is a great price. I found my Civic spare tire on eBay and added the Insight-specific OEM foam insert for $25. These threads may offer tips for your search -?

Thanks. The local salvage yard wanted $103 for the tire and $90 for the jack and lugnut wrench (not including the foam insert). Seemed kinda high so figured I'll shop around some more.
Definitely shop around at those prices. At a minimum, get the spare tire and hold-down bolt. AAA has everything else they'd need on their truck!

I was able to source the whole shebang in NJ for about $120 - foam tool holder included.

I'm busy ripping my CD collection so I can put them on a thumb drive. Using Windows Media player to rip them in flac format which is lossless. I will need a 128 GB drive. Boring work on a cold day.

I washed and cleaned mine! (first time I was able since I had my shoulder surgery)!
Well, I didn't actually do it, but since my A maintenance reminder came on I took it to a nearby dealership and had the oil changed and had new windshield wiper blades installed.
Drove it to the grocery store to get a bottle of bourbon
Wow. November 28th, and I was able to hand-wash two cars today! It had been about two months since I last washed my Insight due to the lack of driving and shortness of trips. My daughter is back at dance class (for now), so I'm enjoying the 80-mile round trips again. It's nice to have a clean and shiny car. Oh, crap! It's going to rain Monday! Of course it is - I just washed the cars.
Not a '19, but a new 2021. I've had Wile E. for a week now. Amazon and eBay packages are starting to show up. I gifted my 2019 EX to my son (who's at KFC right now) and bought myself a new '21. I now need to do all the "little things" I did to my last Insight to this one.

Today, I mounted and wired the front/rear dashcam:
Amazon.com: AUTO-VOX D5PRO Dual Dash Cam Front and Rear, 1520P Car Dashboard Camera Recorder, Built-in Super Capacitor,Two Ways Installation,140° Wide Angle, G-Sensor, Motion Detect and Parking Monitor: Car Electronics
with a mirror mount:

I still need to run the power properly for the dsahcam with a fuse tap, USB socket and right-angle connector at the camera (still waiting for the socket to show up):

Amazon.com: UCEC USB 2.0 Adapter Plug - Left and Right Angle Mini to Micro - Male to Female - Pack of 2

I swapped the interior lights to LEDs:

but decided to try changing the dome and map lights to red to see if I liked it better:
Amazon.com: AUTOGINE 10pcs Error Free 194 168 175 2825 W5W T10 LED Bulbs Brilliant Red Super Bright 3030 Chipset for Interior Dome Map Door Courtesy Trunk License Plate Lights: Automotive

I ordered and received the obligatory Honda trunk tray:

Splash guards went on today:

Silicone fob covers came in during the week:
Amazon.com: GFDesign 2Pcs Silicone 5 Buttons Key Fob Cover Remote Case Keyless Protector Compatible with Honda Accord Civic CR-V CRV Insight Pilot: Automotive
with carabiner clips:
Amazon.com: Booms Fishing CC1 Multi-Use Carabiner Clips: Clothing

LED rear turn signal bulbs:
Amazon.com: OXILAM 7440 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow 2800LM for Turn Signal Lights with Build-in Load Resistor CANBUS Error Free T20 7440NA 7441 W21W WY21W Blinker Bulb Replacement (2PCS): Automotive
and reverse light bulbs are installed:
Sylvania 921 White ZEVO LED Mini Bulb, Pack of 2 921LED.BP2: Advance Auto Parts

I'm still waiting on my MaxPider mats to arrive:
Amazon.com: 3D MAXpider - L1HD07411509 Complete Set Custom Fit, Black: Automotive
I only ordered front mats to see if I like them. On Amazon, it's actually cheaper to order the front and rear sets separately! I'll order up the rear mats if the fronts are as nice as everyone says they are.

Just ordered the printed owners manuals from Honda (for free):

I still need to source a spare tire, foam holder and tools. I got a 2016 Civic setup for my 2019. I'll call around to a few local wrecking yards this week to see what's available. I got a quote of $350 from my dealer for the "official" Insight setup. I think I can beat that going the Civic route.

Okay - what am I missing?

Do you plan to apply ceramic coating to the 2021 Insight, or will you now consider applying a clear film to hood instead? Was the ceramic coating worthwhile and/or how did it hold up on your 2019 Insight?

I only applied the ceramic coating to my 2019 Insight once. After two years (garage kept), the water still beads. I still have another bottle, and I'll probably get around to it when the weather warms a bit and I have more time. Thanks for the reminder! I wouldn't do the clear film. After two years, I had yet to have a single chip in the hood of my 2019.
@hasarad How difficult is the interior bulb swap? I'm wanting to do that this spring

Trunk, map and dome lights are T10 bulbs. The kit I referenced above also includes the vanity bulbs. There are plenty of how-to videos online. Look up one for a Gen X civic - it's the same process.

Be sure to have a plastic tool for removing lenses so you don't scratch them.
