Hi,

I realize this is a subjective question, but fun, so I'm asking <:

What's your favorite color combination for the Honda Insight and why?

I'll go first.
While my favorite [color] is black, I love the steel color more than all the others. And I've added Black Mocha interior for a little two-tone snaz.

This combination is, without argument, the best color combination Honda offers for the Insight

There you go, shots fired

I just brought my Insight EX home last Friday. I chose the Orchid White Pearl with Black cloth. My previous car was metallic grey, it attracts heat in the summer, bird poop magnet, and looks black at night from a distance. Chose a white color this time due to it being better for the summer, read somewhere the pearl color choices are triple coat paint, and in my opinion white color cars seem to look new even over the years. I wanted the Ivory cloth interior but I know it would be hard to keep it looking clean.

This may sound odd, but I had the tree that hangs over my car cut down when I bought my Insight. Bird poop problem solved! I have the ivory cloth interior. After five months, it still looks new.

I prefer the lighter exterior color offerings (silver, white) for visibility reasons. I wish Honda offered other light-color selections for the Insight as well (champagne?). I've driven red and blue exteriors previously and find they're dust magnets as much as black is.

For the interior, I like things simple and prefer the black because of the uniform color. Black shows more dirt/marks than I expected, but the two-tone effect of the other options weren't to my liking. If the mocha interior was offered in a way that the full interior was colored the same, it would be my preferred option.

I've gotten alot of compliments on how good this car looks in the week I've had it. Additional comments on the reliability of Honda, and surprisingly to me, not many comments on the fact it's a hybrid.

It's a hybrid in stealth mode.

Favorite color combination is the modern steel exterior with the black interior. I saw the mocha interior and was appalled.
Hmm, interesting. I have a modern steel metallic with mocha leather interior and didn't even know it was mocha until the next day when I saw it in sunlight. Even then, it was very difficult to distinguish from the black. Is there a cloth mocha interior option? Maybe that's the target of this comment? The black/mocha leather is so subtle, I can't imagine anyone being appalled by it compared to just black leather.

FrisbeeGolfer: Excellent point you bring up. I had the option to purchase a CLOTH mocha interior - not leather. Appears to be quite a difference - leather is MUCH classier. Please take a look at EX mocha interior here (its an image in the upper right):

Personally, I found the mocha/black combination to clash. I saw it in cloth when I test drove an EX. The all-black leather interior is not quite at the elegance of a German car's, but it is very nice.

The cloth and leather seats felt and looked very different. I wish I'd tried both before buying the Touring. I still would've picked a Touring, but they are substantially different.
