Interesting you said that because I got the same fault from the app about my brakes too. It went away on the next startup and the Honda techs said there were no errors in the computer. Strange.

Strange.I think it would be interesting, to compare the manufacture dates of our Honda Insights, and the issues that we experience with them.
Mine(Insight EX) was manufactured 9/2018, and it was after the flood that happened in Mexico. No issues with the car besides a one time false brake alert with the Honda sensing tech.
Mini sidebar to the main topic - but I thought detection limits of the front sensor camera (moreso than the radar sensor) is limited by the physical quality of the camera itself. I understood this to be the reason "shadows" (including bridge shadows?) were named in the manual as known risk areas for the collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) and adaptive cruise control (ACC). Can software updates overcome camera quality issues?I've had the "false brake" alert several times on the highway when driving underneath the signs over the road. As well, lane departure warns when I drive by a guardrail that's close to the road over a narrow bridge. I'd hope that the software gets more refined over time as we get updates.
Yeah, I was driving on the left most lane where the guardrails are and I think as the road curved the shadow from the guardrail triggered the CMBS.Mini sidebar to the main topic - but I thought detection limits of the front sensor camera (moreso than the radar sensor) is limited by the physical quality of the camera itself. Yes, I have had the stuttering engine on cold start twice. Doesn't last long and not something you can reproduce for the dealer to fix.19 EX - Manufactured 10/2018.
The only thing I've noticed so far is what @tyler65 described in this post re: random vibrations, though my issue occurs when engine is cold (vs random) and I would describe it as "engine sputtering."

Would you mind sharing your model level and date of manufacture @Verdier? You'll find the date (MM/YY) in the upper right corner of one of the sticker labels on the driver side door sill.Yes, I have had the stuttering engine on cold start twice. My car always start in EV mode since I never have the heater on when I start my car. I only turn it on after driving a short distance when the car turns on the gas generator after using up EV mode. I did experience a few times at a stop where I felt some minor stronger than normal vibrations from the car. I considered it as normal cause it didn't last really long and it doesn't happen all the time when the gas generator is on.Yes, I have had the stuttering engine on cold start twice. I've experienced this type of stutter/vibration over time on older Hondas, but NEVER when new. I respectfully disagree that this is normal for a new engine, especially if not everyone is experiencing. I plan to closely monitor and stay proactive on this, especially given the potential relation to post-flooding engine part quality.I did experience a few times at a stop where I felt some minor stronger than normal vibrations from the car. Yours is likely before flood using existing inventory based on article (Error - Erreur "Insight production at the Honda auto plant in Indiana will be suspended for the month of August. Based on existing parts inventory, the Indiana plant was able to produce Insight through the end of July, and will resume production in the beginning of September."LX mfg 08/18. Do not know if after flood.
I'm interested in how you found out what # Insight you got... Is this possible with the gen 3 Insight?:surprise:My wife bought a new gen 1 Insight in 2006. Drove it mostly on two lane highway at around 60mph. She sold it at 106,000 miles because signs of the battery "fading" occurred. Lifetime mpg was 54.5! The new owner replaced the battery at 108,000 at a cost of $4.5 - $5,000.
In 2010 I bought a gen 2 Insight (# 77 off the assembly line BTW). I sold it to my daughter, who sold it recently at 120,000 miles with no signs of battery problems.
Both cars used old tech. nickel hydride batteries. The gen 3 uses Li ion, which may be better tech., I notice the gen3 battery charges up faster. FYI
:smile: My daughter sold it at a Honda dealer, who picked it up from the VIN number.I'm interested in how you found out what # Insight you got... Is this possible with the gen 3 Insight?:surprise:
