So I keep scraping curbs and I'm done with the touch-up painting. Its just gonna happen again, so I've surrendered. I wish this car had some sort of protection in this area, it just happens way too easily with all the high curbs out here. I don't even hear anything when it happens. Anyone find an aftermarket solution that attaches / protects this area? Anyone else annoyed?

I feel your pain, got claw marks on mine in the same spot from curbing it somewhere, within a month of buying my Insight. 😔

Wondering if something like this could protect this area. I would re-paint area first of course. I'm not hitting curbs aggressively, but, I'm doubting this scratch protecting tape can work well. Anyone ever have experience with tape like this?

Paint protection film can protect from paint chips and light scratches. I doubt it's going to protect from scrapes because whatever you're scraping is going to cut through the film.

Don't mean to be flippant but, perhaps, not cornering so closely would help you!

Take those turns slowly, with a nice wide curve rather than hugging the right side!

I bumped my back tire on my first drives -- on a neighborhood tight corner -- got scratches on the wheel cover. I now am careful on turns -- and that intersection, corner in particular!
