The sensor in the door handle or the switch inside the door has probably failed. Just let Honda look at it. I only remember one person having a remote entry issue. Good luck! And wow on the 140k! You guys are proving the Insight to be long lasting and reliable!
A previous mention of this type of issue resulted in damage to one of the front outside door handles being damaged. Look at both sides closely to see if anything appears out of the ordinary.
