Like @4star mentioned this seems to be the closest dealership (https://www.bellevuehonda.com/) about 20 miles from Snoqualmie, WA. Just let them know you will have Honda roadside drop off the disabled vehicle. Ask them to call you once they found the problem.
@fattball - I 'third' this reco to tow to dealer. Hoping for the best on this, and hoping the issues can be addressed upon first visit to the dealer!

Worst case, the trip to dealer also makes issue 'official' to both Honda and the state of WA, in case Lemon Law needs to be triggered. You should not be left with 'another unused car rusting in the field.'
  • a "Lemon" is defined as one or more significant defects that have been subject to a 'reasonable number of attempts' to diagnose or repair the problem(s) covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
    - for a defect to be covered under the Lemon Law it must have had at least one attempt to diagnose or repair under the manufacturer’s warranty and during the Lemon Law’s eligibility period.
  • the manufacturer is required to re-purchase or replace the car with 'serious safety defect' after a 'reasonable number of attempts' have occurred. The 'reasonable number of attempts' and duration (15-40 days) differ by claim category. --> see the "CLAIM CATEGORIES UNDER LEMON LAW" section at this link

  • the Lemon Law covers defects that "substantially impair" the use, value, or safety of the car (YOU DEFINITELY QUALIFY HERE)
  • the Lemon Law applies within 2 yrs / 24k miles of delivery to original owner
  • the dealer cannot refuse warranty-related diagnosis or repairs to avoid a possible Lemon Law claim
  • the dealer must continue warranty repairs until a problem reported under the warranty is repaired even if the warranty period has expired
  • you are entitled to arbitration hearing, if the manufacturer does not agree or comply

You mention fields and such. Are you in a very rural area? Any chance you're suffering the dreaded rodent ate my wiring situation here? Just wondering since it sounded you might be in an area that might have rodents trying to nest around your car and they luv to chew. 😟

He did mention he's got 13 cars sitting in a field with electrical problems. You may be on to something here.

I would also think that if you had it towed to the Honda dealer they would provide you with a loaner to get to your appointments. It's a new car, you don't want to be messing around with it yourself.

I got home and ended up buying a 700.00 bucket to get around. I came back to my fathers tonight to find that someone has hit the insight in the front end. Looks like they backed into it here in his apartment complex. Now I'm really screwed. Damage is not that bad but ill bet it will be expensive. I have an appointment in Portland Dealership on 9th. No sure how Im gonna get it the 181 miles there. It is still immobilized. I could not push it up hill back into his spot so i used gravity to back it into a parallel parking spot and that was a mistake. It left it open to backing into it.

Yes i live deep in the woods. I made a video of all my dead cars i will try to post it. I bought a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon. It has 204k miles but runs pretty good but only gets 22 to 24 mpg. Also it has no first gear. I had to hot wire the fuel pump.

Wishing you the best with this. If the dealer in Portland is Ron Tonkin, you'll be in luck as they are also listed as being a ProFirst Honda Certified collision center.

Where can one find that "ProFirst Honda Certified collision center" list ?
@andrew28 provided hyperlink above, embedded in text.

Here is the full link/path where you can enter your location info to find nearby locations. You can also click on the 'Learn More' link at the top/center of the webpage to read more about Honda certified body shops: https://owners.honda.com/collision/profirstbodyshop/

Frankly, after following this thread, I looked up my nearest certified collision centers and have the info/addresses tucked into my glovebox. I was surprised at how few locations are in my area within a 10-15 mile distance.

I also did a quick cross-check of the Yelp reviews for the certified collision centers, and decided that if/when needed, I'd choose one of the locations that is 4 miles further from my area because its reviews are a full point better (4.7) than all others listed (3.7).

Good point about checking yelp and google reviews before choosing a body shop(including certified ones). The one I have been going to for almost 10 years currently has a 4.9 on google and 5.0 on yelp.

Side note... but I also did a quick check of collision centers in the Boston area out of curiosity/comparison, since it sounds like you've had positive past experiences on prior Hondas.

I was surprised at how many certified collision centers were listed in a <5 mile radius of Boston; it must keep quality of service high, with so many qualified competitors around.

But then again - Boston is the only city where my Lyft driver got in an accident, and police were on-site in <5 minutes during peak rush hour traffic. Gave me the sense that crashes are more common in Boston than elsewhere!

Allstate does like a yearly survey for states with the worst drivers. I think we are like in the top 3 worst driver states since the survey started in 2005. I personally have been rear ended 3 times within the past 10 years while sitting at a red light. I have seen enough stupid to get myself a dashcam.

Ok wish me luck I just called AAA Washington, I have plus service, getting them to tow me 98.8 miles. From there im 75 miles to Vancouver WA Honda and 85 miles from Ron Tonkin in Portland, Im gonna try to convince Honda roadside assistance to tow me to Tonkin. Either way hopefully Vancouver can fix the immobilizer and then ill drive to Tonkin. I missed my appointment last Monday but they said today is good also. Ill post a video if i make it.

I called Bellevue Honda and Kirkland Honda they both said i had to get it fixed 1st before i could have them fix the computer problems.
I did call My insurance company and they had me send them pictures of the damage. They gave me an estimate of 3700.00. They said that they do not have any shops that can fix it up to spec so I had to find one for myself. But they will pay for it and my deducible is only 100.00.

Who knows how much it will really cost its just the hood and part of the grill but its a new car so that's expensive. My dads computer sucks my phone is not seen when i plug into his usb ports but I was able to transfer some pics i just took using Airdroid. Here are pics of the sweet damage someone did while i was away, looks like someone backed into it, there are so many cars here I have no idea who did it.

My biggest problem is lack of extra time, I bought this new car so that i could drive without worries. I rack up the miles, I have already driven over 4000 on my 700.00 Hyundai. I live in the Kachess Lake Wa area and its minimum 50 miles to go anywhere. I wish i could just get the car non immobilized, then i would just drive it to Ron Tonkin and take the bus home, then go get it when its done. AAA told me they can maybe do it tonight at 7pm so I think ill try it again tonight, right now im gonna drive home in my bucket and come back tonight. Here are some pictures of my sweet 700.00 ride. Other then the no 1st gear and some ghettoness, and the fact that you feel like you are 2 inches off the ground inside, its not bad in cruises at over 100 easily through the mountains.

Its hard for me to be gone from home for more then 10 hour or so, I have Many dogs and I cannot let them outside unless im around because there are so many Coyotes around and they love to eat pets. My Neighbors had there 75 lb dog killed and partially eaten, and i have lost 2 out of 3 cats. I actually killed one with an axe. It had one of my dogs by the belly and would not let go. It was dragging her into the woods and I kicked it 20 plus times in the head and it would not give her up. Now she has only 7 nipples, it took a huge chuck out of her belly and about a 3 inch area from her cheek. Coyotes are savage, I used to think how cool they were until I moved into there domain. And fences dont stop them ive seen them climb apple trees 15 foot up and jump 6 foot fences with a single hop and climb 10 foot ones.
